HACKENSACK, N.J. – Head Women's Bowling Coach
K.J. Martinez released the FDU Knights' 2025-26 schedule on Friday morning. The reigning NEC Champions are set to begin their title defense next month.
The Knights are coming off an extremely successful campaign which saw them capture their first conference championship since 2021. The Knights competed in the National Collegiate Bowling Championships for the 16
th time in program history and were able to pick up their first NCAA tournament win under Martinez.
FDU starts their season exactly where they did last year at the Bud Whitman Memorial on October 11. The Knights took home a championship at the 2024 event hosted by Chestnut Hill.
Just a week later, the Knights will host the NJ Open starting on October 17. The 2024 NJ Open ended with a championship for FDU on their home lanes.
Conference play commences on November 7 at NEC 1. This season's first NEC event is set to take place in Mount Joy, Pa. at Clearview Lanes.
FDU concludes the first portion of their schedule at the Garden State Classic hosted by Monmouth in Howell, N.J on November 21. The Knights battled against heavyweights such as Vanderbilt and national runner-up Jacksonville State at this event last season.
The season resumes on January 31 at the Griffen Baker Classic hosted by Chestnut Hill.
The Knights kick off February at the Mount Shootout hosted by Mount St. Mary's. Last year's Mount Shootout was arguably FDU's best performance of the season. The Knights posted a 10-1 record, dominating the field, and capturing another title.
The final conference event, NEC 2, starts on February 13 in Bethlehem, Pa. When the event concludes on February 15, the field for the NEC Championship will be complete. FDU captured the #1 seed after this event last year with a 17-7 conference record.
After NEC 2 the Knights will make two significant road trips. The first is to the Stallings Invite starting on February 27. This event is hosted by North Carolina A&T in Greensboro, N.C.
The Knights will then compete against some of the nation's top teams at the Music City Classic. This event, hosted by Vanderbilt, begins on March 6 in Smyrna, Tennessee. It is the second straight year FDU has gone to this event.
The last regular season event is the Northeast Roundup hosted by Wilmington. It begins on March 15 in New Castle, Del.
The NEC Championship is scheduled for March 20-22 in Hamilton, N.J. This season FDU will aim for their seventh title in program history, after defeating Duquesne for their sixth in 2024.
