LUBBOCK, Texas – The Fairleigh Dickinson softball team dropped both of its first two games at Texas Tech to start the Jeannine McHaney Memorial Classic, losing to Marist, 9-0, and to host Texas Tech, 17-0.

The Knights (3-9) totaled three hits, with senior Summer Mendoza roping a double against Texas Tech in the third inning. Freshman Jalyse Hanson also singled for FDU's second hit against the Red Raiders (13-9).
