HACKENSACK, N.J. - Fairleigh Dickinson softball will try to win its third straight game when it travels to Stony Brook on Tuesday afternoon for a single against the Seawolves.

The Knights are coming off a doubleheader sweep of Mount St. Mary's on Saturday. Fairleigh Dickinson took game one, 6-5 in eight innings and game two, 2-1. The Knights scored three runs in the bottom of the eighth -- all unearned -- to win. In game two, Kellie Natham (Arcadia, Calif./Maranatha) hit the eventual winning two-run home run in the bottom of the sixth -- her second of the season -- and Cheryl Lopez (Staten Island, N.Y./Tottenville) pitched a complete game while giving up the one run. Natham now has five games of two RBI, which is the most on the team.

SCOUTING THE SEAWOLVES
Stony Brook sits at 11-17-1 on the season and split a doubleheader with Maine on Saturday. The Seawolves won game one, 4-0, and lost game two, 6-2. Like Fairleigh Dickinson, Stony Brook lost its game on Sunday. Alexandra Pisciotta leads the Seawolves in hitting at .333 on the season and has 14 RBI. Diane Caruso has driven 15 to lead the team and is second in runs scored with 13. The pitching staff is led by Jane Sallen, who owns 3.37 ERA and an 8-10 record.

The Knights are 1-8 all-time against the Seawolves. Stony Brook has won the last five meetings -- two in 2006 and three in 2014. The lone win for the Knights came back in 2005 at home by the score of 3-2.
