TEANECK, N.J. -- The Fairleigh Dickinson women's tennis team will look for back-to-back Northeast Conference victories when it travels to Fairfield, Conn. to take on Sacred Heart at 3 p.m. on Wednesday.

The Knights (3-5, 2-0 NEC) snapped a four-match losing skid this past Sunday with a 6-1 victory over Saint Francis University  in their 2013 spring home opener at the FDU Tennis Courts. FDU took an early 1-0 lead after winning all three double matches while taking 24
of the 28 games played. The Knights then won five of the six singles matches to cruise to the victory.

Sacred Heart (4-5, 2-0 NEC) has not played since March 15 when it fell to Providence 6-1. After losing their first three matches of the spring, the Pioneers three of their next four before the Providence match.

Both FDU and Sacred Heart are 2-0 on the year in NEC play, with both sides defeating Monmouth (7-0) and Saint Francis University (6-1) by identical scores. The Knights have won the last six in the series dating back to 2006.

FDU will return to action on Saturday, March 30 when it travels to Hamden, Conn. to take on Quinnipiac in NEC action at 3 p.m.
