The Fairleigh Dickinson University women's soccer team battled to a 1-1 tie through two overtimes on a rainy Sunday afternoon at University Stadium. Bryant is now 3-9-1 on the season, with a 1-4-1 record in Northeast Conference play, while the Knights are 2-11-1, 0-5-1 mark in league action.

After the two teams battled for 45 scoreless minutes in the first half, Byrant scored early in the second half to take the lead. Kaitlyn Hinck and Jennifer Harding had a give-and-go before Hinck fired the ball in from four yards out on the right side into the top left corner of the net for her fourth goal of the season.

With just under nine minutes remaining in regulation, Jennifer Arceneaux found the back of the net to tie up the game. From 30 yards out on the left side of the box, she fired into the top left side over the goalkeeper's out-stretched arms. The goal was Arceneaux's third of the season.

Rashidah Sherman had a chance to end the game two minutes into overtime with a nice shot that Byrant goalkeeper Katie Mitchell jumped up to block out.

With four minutes remaining in the second overtime period, it was Bryant's  chance to win it as Sarah Donovan fired a shot towards the goal, but FDU goalkeeper Megan MacKellar jumped up to punch it and keep the tie in tact.

"It was a hard fought game," said Head Coach Renee Montana.  "When we executed our game plan, we were able to control the pace of the game. A couple of times, we strayed from our plan and we had a couple of missed opportunities. The first overtime, we had some real chances we just didn't connect. We are going to come back this week and turn our focus to LIU."

Mitchell made four saves between the posts for the Bulldogs, while MacKellar grabbed nine saves for the Knights.

Bryant out-shot the Knights, 20-10, and held a 5-4 edge in corner kicks.

The Knights are back in action on October 23 when they play at Long Island at 6:00 p.m.
