The Fairleigh Dickinson women's fencing team competed at the NIWFA Christmas Invitational, with strong individual showings, including two finalists.
In epee, freshman Christine Forsythe came in fourth place. Sophomore Annie Kazarjan reached the finals in foil.
There were strong results in sabre as well, as senior Jesica Cavouti placed 27th in a field of over 50 competitors. Freshman Genele Streitz placed 18th, reaching the semifinals. Sophomore Heather Morrill just missed the finals by one touch, finishing 10th.
In foil, sophomore Audrey Prado placed 43rdand Julia Silva took 45th in her first time out.
Sophomore Evgeniya Tyrtova just missed the semifinals, capturing a 19th place finish.
The Knights are back in action on Jan. 9 in Haverford, PA.
