The Fairleigh Dickinson University women's golf team, who won its third-straight Northeast Conference Championship in ChampionsGate, FL on Sunday, earned an automatic berth to the 2010 NCAA Women's Golf Tournament. The NCAA Division I Women's Golf Committee announced the teams and individuals selected to participate in the 2010 NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championship Regionals in a release on Monday, April 26.
The Knights will be competing in the East Regional, which will be played at Ironwood Country Club in Greenville, North Carolina, hosted by East Carolina University.
Three regional tournaments will be conducted May 6-8 to determine the championships field. A total of 369 participants have been selected for regional competition. Of these players, 126 will advance to the championships finals. Eight teams and two individuals will advance from each regional.
The championships finals will be held May 18-21 at the Country Club of Landfall and will be hosted by the University of North Carolina, Wilmington.
