The Fairleigh Dickinson University women's bowling team finished the FDU Fright Knight Invite in third place. The Knights finished the tournament with a 9-4 record.
Delaware State won the event (9-4) and Maryland- Eastern Shore (11-2) placed second. Kutztown placed fourth, Adelphi was fifth, New Jersey City finished sixth. Sacred Heart finished seventh, Wisconsin-Whitewater placed eighth, Morgan State took ninth and Florida A&M rounded out the top 10. Long Island and Bethune-Cookman place 11th and 12th, respectively.
Fairleigh Dickinson fell to Delaware State in the first match of the championship bracket, 4-2, (168-215, 187-177, 166-203, 212-190, 198-207, 185-278). The Knights then blanked Kutztown, 4-0, (222-177, 194-190, 182-171, 221-173) to finish in third.
Erica Perez and Sara Litteral both earned spots on the Tournament All-Star Team. Perez averaged 195.5 with a total of 1,173 and Litteral averaged 195.33 with a total pin fall of 1,172.
