Fairleigh Dickinson University women's bowler Erica Perez (Carteret, New Jersey/Carteret) is featured in the April 26 issue of Sports Illustrated in the 'Faces in the Crowd' section.
Perez was named Northeast Conference Player of the Year this year, earning her second-straight All-NEC First Team selection. She had the highest overall frame average of any bowler in conference play (20.30). She also had the highest traditional average (207.8).
She is the first four-year All-American bowler in the history of the program. She garnered back-to-back Bowler of the Week distinction this season and earned spots on the All-Tournament team at the Fright Knight Invite, and the Jeanette Lee Invitational, where she was named Tournament MVP.
She led the Knights at the UMES Hawks Classic, placing 12th overall. Perez also earned a spot on the NCAA All-Tournament Team after her performance at the anchor position in the Knights' NCAA championship win.
