The Fairleigh Dickinson University women's bowling team was picked fourth in the latest National Tenpins Coaches Association poll, released on Thursday, January 28.
The Knights moved up a notch to fourth place after winning their last two tournaments. FDU is now 37-16 on the season after winning titles at the 20-team Jeanette Lee Invitational in Richmond, VA and the eight-team SFC Terriers New Year Knock Down in Staten Island, NY. FDU is back in action at the KU Golden Bear Invitational along with 27 other teams. The tournament will feature 16 of the NTCA Top-20, including nine Top-10 teams.
Vanderbilt University remained as the top ranked team in the nation as 13 out of a possible twenty coaches listed Vanderbilt (29-10) at the top of their ballot. The University of Maryland Eastern Shore was ranked second, collecting four first place votes. The third place ranked team was Delaware State University and the University of Central Missouri climbed a couple of spots to fifth place.
