The Fairleigh Dickinson University women's golf team placed seventh out of 18 teams with a two-day score of 646 (328-318) at the Rutgers University Invitational, held on Friday and Saturday.
Michele Holzwarth (/) captured second place, firing a 149 (73-76). Lisa Warrilow (Gnosall, Stafford, UK/) tied for 28th, shooting a 163 (83-80) and Eva Mayr (Schwendi, Germany, /) shaved 10 strokes on her second day for a 164 (87-77).
Jessica Benoit (Lee, NH/) shot 172 (87-85) and Lauren Chapman (Haddam, CT/) rounded out the FDU golfers with a 178 (85-93).
Boston College won the event with a team score of 616 (312-304), St. John's placed second (622) and host Rutgers took third (639).
The Knights are back in action at the FDU Invitational, which will be held at Basking Ridge, NJ on Oct. 25-27.
