The Fairleigh Dickinson University men's and women's outdoor track & field team ran at the New Balance NYC Qualifying Challenge held at Icahn Stadium on Randall's Island, Saturday, May 10. Junior Reyon John (Buccoo, Trinidad & Tobago/Signal Hill) logged an IC4A-qualifying clip of 21.63 in the 200m, en route to seventh place.
John also went for seventh in the 100m, recording a 10.94.
Senior Nicholas Reid (Morristown, NJ/) won the 800m, crossing the line in a season-best time of 1:51.76.
Senior Cortez Adams (Capital Heights, MD/Suitland) ran a 47.30 in the 400m to claim second place, en route to being named the meet's Most Outstanding Performer.
In the 110m hurdles, Thomas Mackey (Bridgeton, NJ/Bridgeton) crossed the line in 14.90 ? good for seventh place ? after notching a 14.84 in the time trials. The junior went for third in the 400m hurdles (53.89).
Junior Jessica Sanders (Maplewood, NJ/Columbia) finished eighth in the 400m hurdles, registering a mark of 1:04.79.
The Knights' outdoor campaign continues at the ECAC/IC4A Championships, contested Friday, May 16 through Sunday, May 18 in Princeton, NJ.
